He became a Director of Tyro on 17 November 2005 and Chairman of the Board of Directors on 21 September 2006. Rob began his career as a research analyst for a Sydney stockbroker. He became Managing Director of Bankers Trust Australia in 1985. Delivering higher investment performance, he and his team made BT Funds Management the leader in retail mutual funds business. Rob became Chairman of BT Funds Management.

Jost founded and grew the German system and network integrator, CompuNet Computer AG into a US$1B company. In 1996 he sold it to GE Capital US and led the integration and expansion of GE Capital IT Solutions across Europe. In 1998, as Federal Shadow Minister of Economy and Technology, Jost ran his successful election campaign making a significant contribution to the landslide victory of Gerhard Schröder to the Chancellorship of Germany. In recent times Jost commissioned an award winning 40m high performance racer-cruiser and sailed around the globe before settling in Sydney in 2004.

He is a director of Compass Resources Ltd, Stemcor Australia Pty Ltd and Australian Co-Operative Foods Ltd. Thomas has a PhD in Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Economics.

Paul has over 26 years experience as a senior executive in financial services, including almost 20 years with the Commonwealth Bank where he was Executive General Manager Payments & Business Technology and CIO for Premium Business Services. Paul was the founding Manager Director of CommSec, which he led from 1994 to 2002 and later Chairman until 2009 as well as a Director of numerous other Bank subsidiaries. In 2005 he was awarded Australian "Stockbroker of the Year". Paul brings outstanding commercial acumen and strategic skills that are closely aligned to the Tyro business model.

Brad is a high-end business strategist who spent 15 years with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) - the last 9 years as Vice President and Director, working in Australia, the United States and New Zealand, eventually settling in Sydney in 2004. Brad has helped a broad range of companies in retailing, consumer goods, media and travel and tourism to develop and implement growth (both organic and acquisition based) and performance improvement strategies. Brad is currently CEO of Cellarmaster Wines.

Peter is one of the founders of MoneySwitch Limited. His passion is pushing the art of engineering and software development. Peter has run his own application development business deploying a property management system into over half of the real estate agents in Australia. He was R&D manager and Chief Technology Officer for Netlink and Metaplex which was subsequently bought by Cisco. Peter has broad business and user experience having worked for SBU Insurance, Qantas Airways and University Co-operative Bookshop Limited.

Garry has been in sales and marketing his entire career. As General Manager, Asia Pacific Financial Services Industry, of Hewlett Packard, he built their share of the enterprise solution business to USD 350m. Prior to this he led HP's Asia Pacific Corporate Accounts Business, Telecom Global Accounts and the Channel Partner Program. Recently he moved back to Sydney with his family. Having gained a deep understanding of the Australian payment industry, he has taken on the assignment to head Tyro's Sales and Marketing group.

Andrew co-founded Tyro Payments in the belief that novel thinking and approaches to payment systems development would benefit merchants around Australia. During Tyro's early years, he designed and developed a number of the core transaction processing systems on which Tyro's business operates. Currently he works in the areas of business development and direct sales. He has worked in London, Boston, San Francisco and Sydney, holding senior engineering and management roles for companies such as Cisco Systems, Digital Fountain and Prime Computer, Inc.

Justin is the Audit & Compliance Manager at Tyro. Justin is responsible for managing the Audit, Compliance and Risk functions across the business to ensure that Tyro not only meets but exceeds its legal, regulatory and risk management obligations to all partners and stakeholders. Justin has worked in the financial services and banking industry for more then ten years. He has established an internal audit function, developed risk frameworks, implemented internal compliance control methods, developed and delivered enterprise wide risk training and managed large financial services projects.

David has worked in customer service for most of his career. He started out with Ansett Airlines and then spent many years with Qantas before moving into the IT sector. David ran the Asia Pacific Global Contact Centre for Cisco Systems before taking over management of the Cisco outsourced engineering teams located in Australia and the Philippines. Prior to moving to Tyro, David ran the support organisation for IPFX, an integrated communications company with offices in Australia, NZ, UK and USA.

Robert has been an enterprise application developer since the late 1990s. The types of projects that he has been involved with range from customer relationship management systems to E-commerce and content management systems. Robert has led development on projects for organisations such as Ericsson Australia, the Australian Labour Council and the Asian PGA Tour. Robert joined Tyro in 2006 and is currently the team leader for the EFTPOS terminal applications team.

Matt has been working as a software engineer since 1998. He has a broad range of experience ranging from large telecommunications and network management systems to web development and legacy integration systems, for companies as diverse as Telstra, Alcatel, AMP, Sony, Fuji Xerox and The Sydney Festival. Matt has been with Tyro since 2004 and is currently Engineering Manager responsible for the Development and QA teams.

Initial involvement with medical practises explains Alison's broad health industry experience and grass roots understanding of the doctors surgery that evolved to include comprehensive understanding of Medicare claiming.
