Coronavirus (COVID-19) information for businesses

The last few weeks have been extremely challenging for Australians and businesses as we work together to try and contain the impact of Coronavirus.

We have seen a huge amount of information online and from Federal and State Governments to support businesses. To help, we have pulled together key links, articles and answers to questions we are hearing frequently from our customers.

The wellbeing of our customers, employees and community continues to be our top priority. We have implemented measures to provide such assistance we possibly can to support those of our impacted businesses. We have also increased staff in our customer support teams to assist merchants. If you need to get in touch, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime 24/7 on 1300 966 639 or

Our Customer Support team remains dedicated to assisting you throughout this time and we’re working hard to respond as quickly as possible. Please bear with us, as we do our best to handle an increased level of demand.

Sanitise your EFTPOS machine

If your business is still taking in-person payments, this guide will help ensure that you keep your EFTPOS machine germ free. By accepting contactless payments, you can allow customers to complete their transaction without handing over their card, reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmissions.

Did you know? The payments industry will be temporarily increasing the contactless card PIN limit from $100 to $200 to help reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission by reducing physical contact with the payment terminal. Read more

Unfortunately, during these uncertain times, fraud can actually increase. To safeguard you, if you need to process refunds, ensure they go back onto the same card. Providing these refunds can also alleviate unnecessary chargebacks that might occur. Check out our fraud prevention guide and chargebacks and disputes guide to ensure you are in the know.

Online or over the phone payments

Many businesses are adjusting how they service customers during these times. Learn more about taking payments over the phone or online.

The Federal Government has implemented measures to ensure Australians still receive vital healthcare.
